CatholicCare Central Coast and LEGAL Aid NSW are partnering to offer a free legal advice service at Warnervale. Solicitors will be offering advice on family law matters, including family violence and parenting arrangements. Towards the end of 2013 CatholicCare said farewell to Jean Murray, Senior Manager Out of Home Care. An outstanding advocate and champion for vulnerable children for over forty years, Jean will be very much missed.
FACS Minister the Hon Pru Goward recently released the Department's "Shining a light on good practice in NSW" report. 20 case studies were featured in the 120 page report, the non-government examples - drawn from the more than 140 submissions recieved - being from Life Without Barriers, Salvation Army Young Hope, SHINE for Kids, Youth Care UPA , Illawarra Aboriginal Corporation and CaholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay
