CatholicCare excellence in Therapeutic Group Care profiled by NSW government.

FACS Minister the Hon Pru Goward recently released the Department's "Shining a light on good practice in NSW" report. 20 case studies were featured in the 120 page report, the non-government examples - drawn from the more than 140 submissions recieved - being from Life Without Barriers, Salvation Army Young Hope, SHINE for Kids, Youth Care UPA , Illawarra Aboriginal Corporation and CaholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay

Good Practice

5 CatholicCare teams submitted examples of best practice including Family Support at Brookvale (2), Family Support at Naremburn, Family Support at Waitara and Out of Home Care.

The contribution of these teams of practitioners who shared their best practice is acknowledged on page 2 of the Report and the Out of Home Care team's case history is featured on pages 108-114. 

Residential care team members Kelly Thorncraft and Rowan Brooks wrote the OOHC case study which was chosen.
