Hidden Trauma, Hidden Cost – the CSSA Scholarship 2013

Catholic Social Services Australia (CSSA) is pleased to announce that the recipient of the inaugural CSSA Scholarship is Ms Romaine Moss, an employee from CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay, with her research proposal Hidden Trauma, Hidden Cost: Ameliorating the effects of vicarious trauma in the workplace.

CatholicCare announced as Finalists in NSCA Safety Awards

The National Safety Council of Australia has announced that CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay has been selected as a finalist in the Best Solution of a WHS Risk (medium to large business) category.

The winners will be announced on Thursday 17 October.

‘OPEN YOUR HEART’ TO FOSTERING –Launch of 2013 Foster Carer Recruitment Campaign

On Thursday 30 May NSW Minister for Family and Community Services Pru Goward launched Fostering NSW, a year-long foster care recruitment and awareness campaign run by the Association of Children’s Welfare Agencies (ACWA) to encourage people to open their heart and foster a child.

Premier Opens Waitara Family Centre

Celebrating National Families Week 2013

Premier Barry O'Farrell, local Member for Ku-ring-gai, joined Fr Vince Casey, Vicar-General, Diocese of Broken Bay and Member for Hornsby, Matt Kean helped celebrate National Families Week by opening  CatholicCare’s newly refurbished Family Centre at 29 Yardly Ave WAITARA on Thursday, 16 May 2013.

National Families Week 2013 will be held from Wednesday 15 May to Tuesday 21 May 2013.

National Families week is a time to celebrate with your immediate family, make contact with your extended family and friends and share in the enjoyment of family activities within the wider community.
